Wilma Colón, a loving mother, grandmother, and devout Catholic, passed away at the age of 70 surrounded by her family in Goose Creek, South Carolina. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she traveled as a military family before settling in the Lowcountry.

A cherished member of her community, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Wilma was a faithful parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, where she helped establish the Spanish Eucharistic Minister program, a testament to her commitment to serving others. Her unwavering faith was a source of strength and inspiration for her family and friends. While in the Charleston area, she worked in several dental & medical practices forging strong bonds with her teams and professional association members.

Wilma was predeceased by her parents, Miguel Colón and Daisy Rodriguez Colón.

She is survived by her three children: Jose Mejia (Catalina Mejia), Cheryll Martin Mejia (Dennis E. Martin), and Michelle Mejia Risher. She was affectionally known as "Tita" by her cherished grandchildren: Richard Thomas, Daisy Ward, Sofia Mejia, Emilia Ward, Marisa Mejia, and Sawyer Risher. She is also survived by her siblings: Angel R. Colon (Susan Colon), and Laura Aguayo (Carlos Aguayo).

Wilma's memory will be cherished, and her legacy of faith and service will live on through her family and the community she served so devotedly.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22nd starting at 10:00 AM,

 followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM, at Immaculate Conception Church, 510 St. James Ave, Goose Creek, SC 29445. 

Guests are invited to wear purple as a tribute to the joy she brought into our lives.
