Wilma Lee Price Davis, 76 of Chase City, born May 5, 1948, was one of thirteen children to the late Chance and Ethel Price of Lunenburg Co.
Having been raised in a farming family, Wilma knew hardwork and was employed as a seamstress at both Aileen’s Clothing of Victoria and Lake Sleepwear of Boydton for many years, prior to changing career paths as a restaurant entrepreneur. Operating the Village Treat in Chase City from 1995-2006 and the Wylliesburg Diner from 2000-2020, along with her husband, she had many enjoyable years of making friendships with the wonderful folks throughout our community. She truly appreciated the community support.
Wilma was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Jesse Price; sisters, Dorothy Latham and Lucille McKinney Glassco and grandson, Brantley Lewis.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bernard “Butch” Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Henry and Jennifer Davis of Chase City; daughter and son-in-law, Trudy and Daniel Williams of Victoria and daughter, Kim Lewis of Chase City; sisters, Elizabeth Woodfin of Colonial Heights, Patricia Tharpe of Victoria, Frances Shelton of Keysville, Peggy Ann Sheppard of Phenix; brothers, Roger Price of Chase City, Chance Price Jr. of Fredericksburg, Rex Price of Chase City and Tex Price of Chase City; grandchildren, Brian Davis (Courtney), Rebecca Barnett (Michael), Krystyn Davis, Jackie Lewis Jr.(Jennifer), Carrie Lewis (David), Kaylee Williams, Chelsey Williams and Ryan Williams; great-grandchildren, Cash Davis, Adalind Davis, Lyndon Overton, Elsie-Grace Lewis, Ryland Overton, Willa-Faye Lewis, Emma Barnett and Bentley Overton.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM with Funeral Services being held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 73 Meherrin Rd., Chase City. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
