She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Joseph W. (J.W.) Drake; her son, Joseph A. (Joe) Drake; granddaughter, Amy Finchum; parents, Robert Taylor and Nancy Catherine Beavers Ingram; and siblings, Paul Ingram, Minnie Vestal, Hazel Vineyard, Agnes Richeson, Bill Ingram, and Joyce North.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Wilma Burchfield; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Bobby Mizer, all of Sweetwater; and her beloved grandchildren and their spouses: Andy and Gail Burchfield, Sam and Kim Mizer, Amanda Burchfield, Brad and Leah Mizer, Bryan and Alex Burchfield, Jason Drake, Charlie and Morgan Mizer, and Hannah Drake. She also leaves behind 22 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and Tony Bishop, who held a special place in her heart as a grandson; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Kyker Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM in Kyker's Chapel, officiated by Dr. Gerald Atkins. A graveside service and interment will take place at Sweetwater Memorial Gardens on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with loved ones meeting there at 9:45 AM. Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater, is in charge of the arrangements.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Dr. Chris Shamblin, Sweetwater Hospital, and Woods Presbyterian Home for the compassionate care given to Mama during her illness. Her love, wisdom, and unwavering faith will forever be a guiding light to those who knew and loved her.
