Wilma Jean Merritt, 90, passed away Fri. Dec. 27, 2024, at Compere’s Nursing Home in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Mon. Dec. 30, 2024, from 1pm-2pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm on Mon. Dec. 30, 2024, at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery in Jackson, MS.
Mrs. Merritt was born on Jan. 27, 1934, in Pelahatchie, MS to the late Paul McMillian and Ina Bowman McMillian. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Merritt; daughter, Jan Davis; 5 sisters and 1 brother.
Mrs. Merritt is survived by son, Keith Merritt (Cheryl); daughter, Lisa Harris (Curtis); sister, Dorothy Burnham; son in law, Donnie Davis; 8 grandchildren, Tracy Williams (Adam), Lindsay Palmer (Richard), Dustin Merritt (Amy), Jamie Burns (Clint), Jordan Harris, Savannah Ortner (Kaleb), Chandler Harris (Sommer), Ryan Parris (Lauren), and 13 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Weaver Congregational Methodist Church at P.O. Box 220 Weaver, AL 36277.
