Wilma Amelia Nordman, 92, of Marceline, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.
Wilma was born on July 3, 1933, to Christopher and Regina (Joseph) Kornbrust. She was a lifelong resident of Marceline and took great pride in her community and her faith. On October 4, 1954, she was united in marriage to Edward Joseph Nordman, who preceded her in death. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and devotion to one another.
Wilma was a graduate of Marceline High School and spent many years working in the grocery business as a retail checker. She truly enjoyed being around people and took pride in her work, forming lasting connections with customers and coworkers alike. In her free time, she enjoyed watching sports-especially cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. She was a faithful member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, where her faith remained an important part of her life.
Wilma is survived by her daughter, Patricia Sprague and husband William of Trussville, Alabama; two grandchildren, William Joseph "Joey" Sprague and wife Ashley, and Amber Nicole Sprague, all of Trussville, Alabama; and one great-grandchild, Lillian Sprague-McGuire.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward; four brothers; and one infant sister.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 5, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline, Missouri. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Marceline, with Father Bill Peckman officiating.
