Wilma Ritchie Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carl W. Hall Funeral Services on May 22, 2025.
Wilma "Jean" Ritchie, 98, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025 at her home in Leavittsburg, Ohio. She was born March 10, 1927 a daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Lippert) Walter of Salem, Ohio. She was a graduate of Lordstown High School.
Jean was a kind person who always saw the best in everyone. Throughout her life she took care of many family members and was always there if you needed help. She considered herself "richly blessed" and never complained. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles in ink, reading the daily newspaper, and keeping up on current events. Jean made a warm home that always had an open door and was a favorite place for family and friends to gather. All were greeted with delicious meals that she could make on the spot out of whatever was on hand.
Jean is survived by her son, Rick L. (Christine Ruggieri) Ritchie of Warren, Ohio and sister, Shirley (Robert) Dellinger of Niles, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carmen Ritchie, and brothers, John (Elsie) Walter and Jerry (Leona) Walters.
A committal service will be held at Pine Knoll Cemetery Chapel on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 12:30 pm, where Pastor Jim Dittmar will officiate. Friends may call from 12:00 pm until service time at the cemetery. Carl W. Hall Funeral Home is honored to assist with these arrangements.
The family would like to extend special thanks and heart felt gratitude to Elayne, Teresa, Shanita and Cayse, who provided compassionate care and support. Also, that any donations be made to the Warren Township volunteer Fire/EMT department.
