Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Jesse Wilson Adams, age 76, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  Funeral Services will be 12:00PM-Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Oliver’s Grove Baptist Church outside Four Oaks, NC.  Rev. David Brantley will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 
Mr. Adams was born in Johnston County, NC to the late James Edward and Wilma Lois Jackson Adams.  Along side his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Landis Adams.  Mr. Adams retired from the NC Department of Corrections. He was a member of the former Four Oaks Jaycee’s and the Four Oaks Civitan.  He was a hardworking man, and enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events.  He was also a member of the National Guard. Mr. Adams was a member of Oliver’s Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. 
Survivors include his wife, Darlene Richards Adams; son, Chris Adams and wife, Susan; daughter, Tammy Norris; step-daughter, Kelly McKnight and husband, Shawn; sister, Sylvia Jones and husband, Jimmy; grandchildren, Selena Adams, Eli Adams, Lane Adams, Cole Adams, Jacob Norris, Luke Norris and their father, Chris Norris; great-grandson, Remington Adams; many nieces and nephews. 
The family will receive friends from 11:00AM-11:45AM prior to the service on Thursday, at Oliver’s Grove Baptist Church 8715 US HWY 301 S. Four Oaks, NC 27524, and other times at the home. 
Flowers are welcomed, and the family appreciates your thoughts and prayers.
