Winford Lee Wright, Sr. Sr.

CORDELE - Winford Lee Wright, Sr., age 78, died Thursday evening, June 26, 2025, at his residence in Cordele, Georgia. Memorial Services will be held in the chapel of Hughes and Wright Funeral Home on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. The family will visit with friends an hour prior to the service.

Winford was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Winford Woodrow Wright and the late Effie Massey Wright. He was a member of Pentecostal Faith, due to his health, he spent the latter part of his life watching online. Winford worked as a truck driver before his retirement.

Winford is survived by his wife: Valerie F. Wright of Cordele; his sons: Winford L. (Winn) Wright, Jr. of Portland, Oregon, Lance Wright and his wife Hollie of Dallas, Georgia, and B.J. Stephens and his wife Cayley of Cordele; his daughters: Diane Massner and her husband Corbin of Kennesaw, Georgia and Stephanie Brown and her husband James of Cordele; his only surviving aunt who is 100 years old: Bernice Yancey; 15 Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Grandchildren.
