Winifred Grace Combs

Winifred Grace Combs, age 95, of Garrett, KY, widow of Jerry Mar Combs, died Thursday, April 25, 2024 in the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. She was born March 19, 1929 in Langley, KY a daughter of the late Albert and Rosha Spencer Moore. Winifred Grace Combs was a Retired School Teacher, a member of the Hueysville Church of Christ and the Retired Teachers Association.
She is survived by one son, Barry (Linda) Combs, Eastern, KY, one brother, Lloyd Wendell Moore, Richmond, KY, one sister; Muriel Francis, Lexington, KY, four grandchildren; special grandson, Benjamin Tyler Black, Emily Salisbury, Jerri Keathley, Kelli Blankenship, and eight great grandchildren; Katelyn Slone, Clay Slone, Andrew Combs, Grant Webb, Carson Blankenship, Carter Blankenship, Corbin Blankenship and Adelyn Black, one great-great grandchild; Ivy Reed Slone.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one son, Ben Albert "Benny" Combs, one daughter; Carolyn Samantha Black, five brothers; Clarence, Arthur H., Harry Lee, John Emil and Marvin Moore, one sister; Marietta Snyder, and one grandson, Barry Combs II.
Funeral service for Winifred Grace Combs will be conducted Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 1 PM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, with Kevin Jett officiating. Burial will follow in the Bolen Cemetery, Garrett, KY. Visitation is from 6 until 9 PM Saturday at Hall Funeral Home.
