Winifred (Winnie) Lucille Malone, a longtime resident of Westerville, Ohio (57 years) passed away on February 19, 2022 in Lexington, Kentucky at the age of 104. She was born November 25, 1917 to Jacob and Martha (Stidham) Hughey in Scioto County, Ohio and was the youngest of nine children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Clarence E. Malone. Winnie was an expert bookkeeper, accomplished seamstress, quilter and pie-baker extraordinaire. Church was an important part of her life, and she read her Bible every day. Winnie is survived by a family who loved her deeply, including three daughters: Ruth (Gary) Cooper, Sunbury, Ohio, Sharon (Bill) Moore, Lexington, Kentucky and Diana (Greg) Lodge, North Fort Myers, Florida; seven grandchildren: Jeremy Cooper (Stephanie), Joy Cooper, Suzanne Taigen (Tyler), James Moore (deceased), Max Miller (Lissa), Alan Lodge, and Geoff Lodge; twelve great grandchildren: Jacob Cooper, Brayden Cooper, Will Taigen, Eliza Taigen, Coco Taigen, Jacqueline Moore, Tate Miller, Tess Miller, Eve Miller, Colton Lodge, Jaden Lodge, and Jaxon Lodge. Visitation will be at 10 A.M. on Monday, February 28 at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Rd in Westerville, followed by a service at 11 A.M. led by Dr. Bill Moore. Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery in Oak Hill. The family wishes to thank the Legacy staff of Willows at Hamburg and the Bluegrass Care Navigators for their compassionate care.
