Winston Cooke Obituary
Winston was born on April 10, 1942 in Leesville, LA. After retiring from the military, he successfully operated two businesses. He was a proud 26-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. In his spare time, Winston enjoyed bowling, woodworking and vinyl records. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend. Winston always had a kind word and a kinder heart.
He is preceded in death by his father, Roy Leon Cook; mother, Floyce Durham Cooke; son, Winston DeLeon Cooke, Jr. "Lee, Jr."; son, Jeffrey Scott Cooke "Scotty"; brother, Marlon "Lyndon Cooke; and sister, Sandra Lanita Cooke.
Left to treasure Winston's memory is his wife of 37 years, Adel Montez-Cooke; daughters, Christie Degenhart, Angela Yancy (Alton) and Paula Warburton (Bobbie); sons, Ernest Martinez and Kendrick Cooke; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Naomi Cooke Turner, Voncil Loftin Stephens (Pete) and Rhonda Loftin Vanover; and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.

Adel, I am so grateful for having met Winston. He was an amazing craftsman and my furniture is proof of his talents. I will never forget his smile and happy demeanor. My heart is broken but I am sure he is still smiling
