Woodrow Wiley Gammel Jr.

Woodrow Wiley Gammel Junior of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully to be with our Heavenly Father on December 16, 2025 in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Woodrow was born on November 17th, 1942 to Florene and Woodrow Gammel in Marlow, Oklahoma. Woodrow grew up with brother Charles and sister Karen in Marlow. Woodrow worked in oil fields thru out the South Western United States and was drafted into the Army for military service. After his service requirement, Woodrow received his bachelor degree from Central State University, and his master degree from East Central University. Woodrow made a career of teaching in the Mid-Del School District while also serving a career in the U.S. Army Reserves, later retiring as a Master Sergeant.
Woodrow is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
He is survived by his wife Vickie; his son, Woodrow Gammel, III and his wife Angela; daughters, Susan Gammel and Melissa Gammel; grandsons, Bradley and Mason; stepdaughters, Shawna Hayes and her husband Rob, and Kessa Huckabee; stepsons, Todd Huckabee, and Rusty Huckabee and his wife Cathrine; step-grandchildren, Kasee, Abby, Avery, Arno, Elowyn, and Declan; as well as many nieces and nephews, other family members, and friends.
Woodrow's final place of rest will be Fort Sill National Cemetery. Services held will be private.
