Wyatt Mansfield Walker Jr.

Mr. Wyatt M. Walker, Jr., age 78, of Smyrna, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
Born and raised with strong values of duty, faith, and family, Mr. Walker served his country with pride as a member of the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he embarked on a distinguished career in Information Technology. He began his professional journey with Western Electric and went on to serve in key roles at Southern Bell, AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Avaya, Prudential Georgia Realty, and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. Throughout his career, Wyatt was respected for his expertise, reliability, and dedication to helping others.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Wyatt was a man of steady character and deep devotion to his loved ones. A loving husband, a guiding father, and a proud grandfather, he found his greatest joy in the accomplishments and happiness of his family.
He had a curious mind and a love for learning that stayed with him throughout his life. His hobbies included fly fishing, building and enjoying his model train collection, and talking with people around the world on his Ham Radio. He was also the person everyone called when they needed help with a computer or phone-no matter the time, Wyatt would stop what he was doing to lend a hand. If he didn't have the answer right away, he would say, "Let me think about it," and call back with a solution. His sense of humor and warm laughter will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Brenda Gayle Walker; his son Stephen Walker and wife Michelle; his daughter Stephanie Reese and husband Brandon; and his cherished grandchildren: Elizabeth and Madeline Walker, Jessica Reese and her fiancé Hunter Sords, and Jacqueline Reese-all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
He is now with our heavenly father and signing off as WA4VMF!
