Antonio Storici

Antonio Storici, of Smyrna, Georgia, and formerly of Trieste, Italy, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, at the age of 92.
He was born in Trieste, a beautiful city at the top of the Adriatic Sea, and lived most of his life there until moving to Smyrna about three years ago to live with his daughter Francesca and grandson Mason, who were blessed to have him close in his later years.
He married his beloved wife, Bruna, in 1967, and together they shared 33 years of life and love until her passing in 2000. They were the proud parents of one daughter, Francesca. He was a devoted and caring husband, father, and grandfather. A compassionate medical doctor, he worked tirelessly as a laboratory pathologist, serving his patients with great skill and dedication until the age of 80.
Known for his wisdom, kindness, and quiet strength, he loved reading, especially history and religion, discussing ideas and sharing curiosity and knowledge with his daughter and grandson. He found joy in travel, nature, art, music, and simple moments shared with family and friends. Together with his wife, he built a home on the Karst plateau in Opicina, Trieste, where he spent many peaceful hours gardening and enjoying the outdoors.
He will be remembered for his gentle heart, his devotion to family, and his enduring spirit of curiosity and goodness.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 31, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Smyrna, Georgia. A small reception will follow at the family home.
He will be cremated, and his ashes will be transported to Trieste, Italy, where he will be laid to rest in the family tomb in December.
The family expresses heartfelt thanks to all who offered prayers and support, and a special thank-you to the Cornerstone caregivers, who so lovingly and tirelessly cared for him during these last several months. Also thanks to the VITAS Healthcare service for their care and support in his last days.
His memory, love, and peaceful presence will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
