In loving memory of Wylie Howard Parker III, it is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many with his wisdom, compassion, and unwavering love for his family. Wylie was born on December 9, 2002, in the picturesque town of Sacile, Italy, where he began his journey as a beacon of light for all who crossed his path.
Wylie carried within him an old soul and a heart of gold, displaying a maturity well beyond his years. He proudly took on the responsibility of being an exemplary role model for his younger brother, Wyatt C. Parker. His intelligence shone brightly, earning him the reputation of being incredibly smart and driven in all his endeavors. Family meant everything to Wylie; he dedicated himself to ensuring that his parents, Wylie H. Parker Jr. (Jodie) and Samantha Parker, were always proud of him.
Wylie also embraced his step-siblings Micah Meyer, Alexis Meyer, and Teylor Meyer as part of his extended circle of love and support. His grandparents John & Karen Torgerson and Louann & Wylie Parker Sr. held a special place in his heart, enriching his life with their presence and wisdom.
Wylie's commitment to service led him to serve his country with pride and honor in the United States Air Force-a testament to his selflessness and dedication to a cause greater than himself. Tragically, Wylie's unexpected passing on May 31, 2024 in Abilene, Texas has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be dearly missed by those whose lives he touched.
As Wylie begins his final journey to Dayton, Ohio, escorted by his uncle Lt. Col. Brandon Schmidt (Danielle), let us remember him not only for his goofball antics and well-timed humor but also for the immense kindness and compassion that defined his character.
Though we mourn the loss of Wylie Howard Parker III from our earthly realm, we take solace in knowing that his spirit remains alive in our cherished memories of him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by eternal love and gratitude for having graced our lives with his presence.
Family and friends will gather from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12:00pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024, and the family will receive friends one hour prior. Following the service, full military honors will be rendered at Dayton National Cemetery by the United States Air Force.
