Wyvona P. Cavender

Wyvona "Onie" Phyllistene Cavender,87 of Ravenswood went home to be with the Lord on Sunday December 29th in her home surrounded by family. Wyvona was born September 17, 1937 to the late Frank and Cleo Tate. She was preceded in death by daughter Sonja Kremer, son Douglas Cavender, sister Myrtle Saunders, and nephew Tommy Saunders. Wyvona was survived by her husband of 67 years Arnold Cavender, daughter Robin Cavender of Ravenswood, brother Johnny Tate (Sue) of Sissonville; three granddaughters Kristina Evans of Charleston, Kaitlyn Hedrick of Ravenswood, Madeleine Casto (James) of Millwood, as well as 5 great-grandchildren Vincent and Sophia Smith, Michael and Molly Evans and Aspen and Declan Casto. A special thanks to her niece Anita Leaptrot for always loving and being there for Onie and family. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Per her wishes, there will be no service. A private burial will be held with close family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help with burial costs to Waybright Funeral Home.
