YANKSTON JESKO Obituary

Yankston "Yankee" Theodore Jesko of Yukon, OK, born on December 2nd, 1975, to Tom and Mary Lou (Priest) Jesko of Clovis, NM joined our father in heaven on Sunday November 3rd, 2024.

Yankee was born and raised in Clovis, NM before moving to Oklahoma City, OK to graduate from Western Heights High School in 1994. After which he would begin his career journey at Arvest Bank where he would meet his first and only wife, Bridget Doss, formerly Bridget Jesko, who would grace him with four children. Yankee went on to have a career devoted to managing and planning what other people would see as impossible, to him it was almost as easy, and fun as watching a television show. Yankee was an amazingly kind and loving human. He constantly put others' needs ahead of his own to make sure that not a single person who spoke with him ever felt they were not being heard or understood. Yankee had an imaginative mind even in childhood where the stories of mischievousness he and possibly a few of his cousins would get into would make even the sternest of men crack a smile.

Yankee would also become a caring and thoughtful father to his four children; he would teach them the ideas and values instilled in him by his own father for whom he looked up to greatly. Those who has the chance to speak with him know that he would have given the clothes off his own back to make sure a random stranger was warm. Yankee will be missed by many, his children, his family, his friends and perhaps more profoundly the countless number of people that quickly became attached to him simply from having one conversation. For those who were close to him there will be a void in each of us that may never be filled again as the person who Yankee was is not one that can ever be replaced.

Yankee is survived by his mother Mary Lou Jesko of Cushing, OK; his brother Wayne Jesko of Cushing, OK and his four children Kyle Raincrow of Oklahoma City, OK, Braden Jesko of Oklahoma City, OK, Prue Jesko of Oklahoma City, OK, and Emma Jesko of Oklahoma City, OK along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Jesko.

There will be no services, and all donations should be to the American Heart Association in Yankee's name.

He was my closest friend, whom I thought of as my older brother. I looked up to him and admired his never wavering dedication to whatever was at hand and his tenacity to always find a way. He taught me many things about woodworking, horticulture (how we met), and life, in general. He was a shoulder on which to cry, a back on which to lean, an ear that always listened, an amazing mind that was devoid of judgement and a heart which overflows love and acceptance. His wisdom and advice still ring in my ears. Thank you, brother, for believing in me when even I lost the ability. Love you!! Be at peace, I will see you again

I remember giving him piano lessons and thinking he was doing so good only to find out he had an ear for music. He would get me yo play the lesson then he could play it but couldn´t read the notes. So he taught me. He was fun and energetic and I loved him. My condolences to family and friends

I remember Yankee running around the fair grounds in Clovis, he was a one man show but was at his best when he got his brother to join in. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. The heart ache will heal but there will always be a scar that never goes away. My love to all and prayers for happy memories.k
