Yen T. Tran, age 74, of Long Beach, passed away on August 17, 2023 in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dao Tran; a grandson, Parker Emerson; and her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Bang Tran.
Mrs. Tran is survived by her children, Stephanie Tran-Nguyen (Tam Nguyen), Simone Tran-Kowalski, Khellie Tran (Matthew Emerson), Drew Tran (Thao Nguyen), and Taylor Lerner (Keith Lerner); her siblings, Vui Tran, Ve Tran (Thin Do), An Tran (Mai Tran), Ashley Gravois, Heather Ngo (Thomas Ngo), Hoa Tran, and Tuyen Tran; her grandchildren, Gwendolyn Nguyen, Cate Nguyen, Sydney Emerson, Skylar Emerson, Cameron Emerson, Rowan Tran, Remy Tran, Tristan Tran, Avery Lerner, and Madeline Lerner; and other relatives and friends across the Gulf Coast.
Mrs. Tran was born in Bui Chu, Vietnam, and was a resident of Long Beach. She lived on the Gulf Coast for over 40 years. Her life was deeply centered on her faith and family. She made sure everyone in her family came first. She loved her children and instilled this undeniable strength in each of them. She also loved her grandchildren and plants; they brought her great JOY. She loved a good bargain, was an amazing cook and a gracious hostess to everyone.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 1 - 4 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. The rosary will be recited at 3:30 pm. A family mass will be held at 5 pm Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church and visitation will resume from 6 – 7 pm. Visitation will also be on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 8 - 9 am at the funeral home. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:15 am Saturday where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, Pass Christian. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
