Yesenia 'Kitty' Smith age 40, born San Leandro CA and resided in Las Vegas NV, passed away on 29 May 2025, after a long 6 year battle with stage 4 breast cancer.
The funeral service and visitation will be held at City Light Church, Las Vegas at 11 am, officiated by Paster Jay Hubbard. Burial will follow the funeral at Davis Funeral Memorial Park on Eastern Ave . Funeral arrangements are being handled by Davis Funeral Home.
Yesenia Smith was born in San Leandro, CA on March 23, 1985. She graduated from high school in Pacific Grove in 2003. Further education; Medical coding and bartending school. Yesenia was married to Jonathan Smith, both at the age of 18 years, on September 26, 2003; they were married 22 years. Yesenia worked as a homemaker for the majority of her marriage while Jonathan served in the U.S. Army. She enjoyed cooking, baking, exercising, hosting, and reading. She was actively involved at church, both in Hawaii and in Las Vegas.
Serving within Kids, volunteering with kids camps, Baptisms, Connections, Seating, and Prayer teams, while also leading women small groups.
Yesenia is survived by her husband Jonathan, and kids, Kailani and Josiah. Including her loving family and awesome friends.
Yesenia is preceded in death by her younger brother Michael, which her body is laid to rest right next to him.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Jonathan directly or through electronic donations (Venmo or Zelle).
