Charlotte Jean Roberts Smith, age 80, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Friday afternoon, October 17, 2025, at Blountstown Health and Rehab in Blountstown, FL.
Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Donalsonville Church of God with Rev. Larry Daughtry officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA with Kalom Smith, Seth Atkinson, Nick Mock, Dakota Mock, Dylan Smith, Chase Smith, Kade Smith, and Cason Hall serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one prior to the service starting at 1:00 PM at the church.
Mrs. Smith was born in Donalsonville, GA, on August 7, 1945, to W. J. Roberts and Dorothy Story Roberts. Mrs. Smith worked in retail at most all the dollar stores in town. She loved her family, and having her hair, make-up, and nails done. She also loved working with children in you youth children’s church.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, children, Melissa Atkinson of Donalsonville, GA, Bubba Smith and Debra of Iron City, GA, Angelia Richter and Brad of Bristol, FL, and Scott Smith and Cara of Donalsonville, GA; her grandchildren; Kalom Smith and Ashley Hope, Heather Thomas and Trey, Seth Atkinson and Kristin, Brittany Ingram and Blake, Nick Mock and Bethany, Dylan Smith and Shanna, Dakota Mock and Sidney, Bailey Walden and Randall, Morgan Plair Griner and Tyler, Chase Smith and Reesanne Gentry, and Kade Smith and Chevy; and 24 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, W. J. Roberts and Dorothy Story Roberts; her husband, Hiram Smith; her granddaughter, Savanna Smith; her brother, W. C. Roberts; and her son-in-law, Calvin Atkinson, Jr.
