Linda Powell Braswell, age 84, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Monday, October 20, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services for Ms. Braswell will be held on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at 3:00 PM at New Life at Lake Seminole with Rev. Johnny Shepard officiating. Interment will follow in the New Life at Lake Seminole Church of God Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA with Roger Harrell, Stanley Harrell, Charles Harrell, Mike Harrell, David Swearingain and Edward Comerford serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be made to New Life at Lake Seminole Church of God Building Fund, PO Box 4669, Donalsonville, GA 39845.

Ms. Braswell was born in Bainbridge, GA on May 19, 1941 to Ray and Jewell Powell. She married Johnnie Braswell in 1959 and in 1967 had her only child, her beloved daughter, Carla. She worked for a number of years at Donnie Mills. She was a member of New Life at Lake Seminole (formerly Reynoldsville Church of God) for over 60 years. She loved working with the youth and served in many areas of the church as long as her health allowed. She was a Godly woman that loved her family and church family.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her grandchildren, Ansley & Drew Thompson of Donalsonville, GA; her great grandchildren, Carleigh Thompson, Dagen Bennett both of Donalsonville, GA and Gracyn Bennett of Columbus, GA.; Son-in-law Vic Stuart and wife Pam, special niece, Emily Swearingain (David); her sisters, Lajean Williamson of Bainbridge, GA, Sherry Boyett of TyTY, GA and Sandra Norris of Columbus, GA; her brother, Donell Powell of Bainbridge, GA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her lifelong best friend, Dorothy Murkerson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Jewell Powell, her husband, Johnny Braswell, her daughter, Carla Braswell Stuart, and siblings, Annette Knight, Elma Rae Faircloth, Kenneth Powell, Larry Powell, Phyllis Lane, and Steve Powell.
