It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Karen Mischelle Moon (Braswell). Born on October 22, 1964 in Texarkana, TX, she was the middle child of Eugene (Blue) and Mary Surratt Moon. It was rumored her sisters always referred to her as "Mom's favorite."
Karen will be remembered for her endless love of animals. Her pets, (Charlie, Jovi, and Hazel) brought laughter and joy to her daily life.
Karen was creative and known for her quirky sense of humor and kind heart. She enjoyed being the source of laughter for others.
She believed that her greatest gift in life was the privilege of being called Mom by her precious daughter.
Karen was preceded in death by her father.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Holland Paige Braswell; mother, Mary Gene Moon; sisters and their husbands, Gina and Gary Broom, Angie and Tommy Pilgreen; nephews Christian Broom and Gage Pilgreen; and a host of friends and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 25 at 3 p.m. at Downtown First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Gibbons. Visitation to follow.
