Yevgeniya Shapiro, 102, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 15, 2026.
She was born on June 18, 1923, in Bazar, Ukraine, to Boris and Klara Dorfman.
Yevgeniya came to the United States and made a home in Indianapolis.
She was a loving friend, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She lived for 32 years at Park Regency Apartments, where she sang in the choir and was active in the community.
Yevgeniya is survived by her beloved sons, Arkadiy (Natalia) and Alex (Tatiana); her grandchildren, Michael, Marina, and Vadim Shapiro; and her great-grandchildren, Alisa, Timur, Jude, Adriano, Dmitriy, Ania, and Micaela.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 12:00 pm in Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation North Cemetery, 1300 E. 161st Street.
