Barbara Avery, a 7-year resident of Indianapolis, passed away on March 10, 2026.
Barbara was born December 10, 1946 to William and Hazel Avery of Wakefield, Kansas. She was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Kansas, where she earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees, and had a lengthy and successful career in New Orleans as an office manager for the law firm of McGlinchey Stafford. Her keen intellect and commitment to excellence were evident in all her endeavors, earning her the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
Barbara is survived by her older brother, William Avery, of Indianapolis, younger brother, Brad Avery of Topeka, Kansas, and her younger sister, Martha Sue Avery of Concord, Massachusetts.
Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved significant other, Raymond Brady.
Funeral services are private.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
