Yiming Yao

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Yiming Yao,
beloved husband, father, and friend, who left us on May 1, 2025.
Yiming was the devoted husband of Lixiu Huang, and together they built
a loving family filled with joy, laughter, and shared memories.
Born in China, Yiming was surrounded by the love of his parents,
Chaoshui Yao and Yufang Ou, and his siblings: Yadi Yao, Yongzhen Yao,
Haiyan Yao, and Hailing Yao. He was a cherished son, a devoted
brother, and a role model for his extended family. His nieces and
nephews in China carry forward the legacy of his kindness, hard work,
and generosity.
In 2003, Yiming made the courageous decision to immigrate to Reno,
Nevada, seeking new opportunities and a better future. There, he
established himself as a hardworking and determined business owner at
U&I Massage & Reflexology, always putting his family first. Yiming was
admired for his unwavering dedication, humility, and strength of
character.
Yiming is survived by:
His beloved wife, Lixiu Huang
His son, Ben Yao
His daughter, Suzanne Yao, and her partner, Brian Catudan
His treasured grandson, Isaac Catudan, who was the pride and joy of his life
Though separated by distance, Yiming remained deeply connected to his
family in China. The love that transcended oceans will forever be part
of how he is remembered.
Those who knew Yiming will always remember his warm smile, his caring
nature, and his willingness to help others. He lived with great
humility, yet his impact on others was immeasurable. He was a beloved
member of the Reno community, respected by all who had the privilege
of knowing him.

in a better place.
Yiming's presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will
continue to guide and inspire all who knew and loved him.
