Ynes Jimenez Mata

Con profundo amor y recuerdo, honramos la vida de nuestro querido padre, abuelo y amigo, Ynes Antonio Jimenez Mata, quien falleció el 13 de Marzo del 2026, en paz en su hogar en Hartford, Connecticut, rodeado del amor de la familia que formó a lo largo de su vida.

Nació el 24 de Septiembre del 1928 en Tierra Dura, Moca, República Dominicana, hijo de los ya fallecidos Dolores Mata y Javier Jimenez, y fue criado con mucho amor, por la también fallecida Mercedes Mata, cuya dedicación y cuidado ayudaron a formar al hombre que llegó a ser.

Desde joven desarrolló una profunda conexión con la tierra. Fue conocido por su gran conocimiento y experiencia en la agricultura, especialmente en el cultivo de tabaco, saber que conservó con orgullo y compartió generosamente con quienes lo rodeaban.

Fue precedido en la muerte por su amada esposa, Jovina Antonia Alcon, con quien compartió una vida llena de amor, trabajo y dedicación a su familia.

Fue el orgulloso padre de nueve hijos: Julian Jimenez Alcon y su esposa Ana Mercedes Rodriguez de Hartford, Connecticut; el fallecido Francisco Jimenez Alcon y su esposa Miguelina Garcia de Moca, República Dominicana; el fallecido Jose Jimenez Alcon y su esposa Maria Jimenez de Moca, República Dominicana; Olga Jimenez Alcon y su esposo Antonio Santos de Hartford, Connecticut; Ramona Jimenez y su esposo Ramon Fernández de Moca, República Dominicana; Juan Jimenez Alcon y su esposa Maria Jimenez de Spring Valley, Nueva York; Maria Leonilda Jimenez Alcon y su esposo Hector Burgos de South Windsor, Connecticut; Maria Jimenez Alcon y su esposo Eufracio Jimenez de Paterson, Nueva Jersey; y Silvia Jimenez Alcon, Allentown Pensilvania.

Su legado creció aún más a través de sus 24 queridos nietos y 38 bisnietos, quienes fueron una fuente constante de orgullo y alegría para él. También deja numerosos familiares extendidos y muchos amigos queridos.

Más allá de sus responsabilidades, disfrutaba la vida plenamente. Le encantaba reunirse con familiares y amigos para jugar dominó, momentos que siempre estaban llenos de risas y conversaciones animadas. También disfrutaba montar a caballo, una actividad que reflejaba su espíritu libre y fuerte. La música siempre ocupó un lugar especial en su corazón, y le encantaba bailar cada vez que tenía la oportunidad.

Por encima de todo, su familia era el centro de su mundo. Fue una fuente constante de guía, sabiduría y amor. Su hogar siempre estuvo abierto para compartir historias, enseñar lecciones de vida y reunir a generaciones.

Deja un legado profundo en la familia que crió y en los recuerdos que sembró en cada uno de sus seres queridos. Aunque ya no esté físicamente con nosotros, su sabiduría, su bondad y su amor vivirán para siempre en los corazones de todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo.

With deep love and remembrance, we honor the life of our beloved father, grandfather, and friend Ynes Antonio Jimenez Mata, who passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026 at his home in Hartford, Connecticut, surrounded by the warmth of the life and family he built.

Born September 24, 1928 in the Tierra Dura, Moca, Dominican Republic, he entered the world with a noble spirit and a strong sense of purpose. He was the son of the late Dolores Mata and Javier Jimenez, and was lovingly raised by the late Mercedes Mata, whose care and guidance helped shape the man he would become.

From an early age, he developed a deep connection to the land. Known for his wisdom and skill in agriculture, he carried knowledge passed down through generations and shared it generously with those around him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jovina Antonia Alcon, whose partnership and love were central to the family they built together.

He was the proud father of nine children: Julian Jimenez Alcon and his wife Ana Mercedes Rodriguez of Hartford, Connecticut; the late Francisco Jimenez Alcon and his wife Miguelina Garcia of Moca, Dominican Republic; the late Jose Jimenez Alcon and his wife Maria Jimenez of Moca, Dominican Republic; Olga Jimenez Alcon and her husband Antonio Santos of Hartford, Connecticut; Ramona Jimenez and her husband Ramon Fernández of Moca, Dominican Republic; Juan Jimenez Alcon and his wife Maria Jimenez of Spring Valley, New York; Maria Leonilda Jimenez Alcon and her husband Hector Burgos of South Windsor, Connecticut; Maria Jimenez Alcon and her husband Eufracio Jimenez of Paterson, New Jersey; and Silvia Jimenez Alcon of Allentown, Pennsylvania.

His legacy grew even larger through his 24 beloved grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy. He also leaves behind extended family and many dear friends whose lives were touched by his kindness.

Beyond his work and responsibilities, he embraced life with enthusiasm. He loved gathering with family and friends to play dominos, a game that often filled the room with laughter and spirited conversation. He enjoyed riding horses, a reminder of the freedom and strength he carried throughout his life. Music was never far from his heart, and he loved to dance whenever the opportunity arose.

Above all else, family was the center of his world. He was a steady source of guidance, kindness, and love. His home was a place of welcome, where stories were shared, lessons were learned, and generations came together.

He leaves behind a powerful legacy in the family he nurtured and the memories he created. Though he is no longer with us in person, his wisdom, warmth, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
