With profound sorrow and deep gratitude for a life richly lived, we announce the passing of Yolanda Harwood, aged 91, who departed this world on September 28, 2025, in Houston, Texas.
Born on March 13, 1934, to the late Jesús Saboya and Delia Pardo, Yolanda embodied grace, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith. A woman of refined elegance and quiet resilience, she lived a life marked by generosity, wisdom, and an unshakeable sense of purpose.
Yolanda's legacy is carried on by her loving children: Fred Harwood, Mary Ann Boterenbrood, and Lee Harwood-each of whom reflects her enduring spirit and boundless love. Her family was her greatest joy and her proudest accomplishment.
A Funeral Mass in celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Saint Anne Catholic Church, located at 2140 Westheimer Rd., Houston, TX 77098, with Rev. Steven Huber officiating. Interment will follow at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spring, Texas, where she will be laid to rest with honor and dignity.
Serving as pallbearers, and honoring Yolanda with their final act of love and respect, are Lee Harwood, Christian Harwood, Alexander Harwood, Rutger Boterenbrood, Maurik Boterenbrood, and Lance Pate.
As we bid farewell to a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, we celebrate a life of exquisite grace and enduring love. Yolanda Harwood leaves behind a timeless legacy and a family deeply enriched by her presence.
