It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yolanda Hernandez, a beloved mother, grandmother, Sister, and friend, who left this world peacefully.
Born on April 7th in Santiago, Yoly lived a life defined by compassion, generosity, and a steadfast dedication to the happiness of others. She was the proud mother of two boys and a Devoted Partner, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother and Friend, who brought endless joy and pride to those who knew her..
To know Yoly was to feel loved. She had a remarkable gift for lifting others up, but always finding ways to make the people around her feel special, seen, and celebrated. Whether it was through a heartfelt note, a thoughtful gift, or simply her warm and steady presence, she had an uncanny ability to brighten even the darkest of days.
Her selflessness was the quiet, steady kind that made a lasting impact. She never asked for recognition; instead, she gave generously of her time, energy, and love without hesitation. Birthdays were made more joyful because she remembered every detail. Holidays were brighter because she insisted on including everyone. Ordinary days were transformed by her simple acts of kindness.
Though our hearts ache with her absence, we find comfort in the legacy she leaves behind-a legacy of love, empathy, and celebration of others. She taught us, by example, how to live with grace and to love without limits.
Visitation will be held at Riverdale Funeral Home, 5044 Broadway, NY NY 10034 on Wednesday, July 30, 2024 from 4pm to 8pm.
