Yolanda H. Montoto, affectionately known as Yola or Yoli, passed away on October 4, 2025, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, at the age of 81. Born on June 16, 1944, in Texas, she was a remarkable woman who brought joy and love to everyone she met.
Yolanda is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Jose Montoto Jr., with whom she shared 58 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they nurtured a loving family, including her beloved children, Jose A. Montoto (Heather A. Pantoga) and Roman Montoto (Jennifer L. Harris). She was also cherished as a grandmother by Fiona Mae Pantoga-Montoto, Oliver Robert Pantoga-Montoto, Elizabeth Clare Pantoga-Montoto, and Ellia Elizabeth Montoto, who brought immense joy to her life.
Yolanda was a caring sister, remembered fondly by her siblings Gilbert Hernandez, Sophia Hernandez, Grace H. Malacara, Clarisia Hernandez, and Rebecca Hernandez. She will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends whose lives she touched throughout her journey.
Yolanda is preceded in death by her parents, Alfredo and Estella Hernandez, who instilled in her the values of love, compassion, and devotion that she carried throughout her life.
In honor of Yolanda’s life, a memorial gathering will take place on October 11, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a memorial service starting at 5:00 PM, at Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral and Cremation Mission Hills Chapel located at 8910 W. Drexel Avenue, Franklin, Wisconsin.
Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, forever a shining example of kindness and resilience.
