Norma Montoto Obituary

Norma "Trich" Montoto, a native of Winnfield, LA, & resident of Gonzales, passed away peacefully, family by her side, on January 3, 2024 at the age of 82. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was fiercely loved and will be profoundly missed. She was creative, artistic, generous, kind, and funny. As a young woman, she loved making crafts, camping and fishing. Later in life, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, trips to the casino and bingo. She is survived by her son, Stephen Montoto (Paricia); daughter, Michelle Anderson (Michael); her grandchildren, Elaina, Taylor, Peyton and Grace; and her brothers, James "Jimmy" Chandler (Cindy) of Spearfish, SD, Gary Chandler (Jan) of Norwood, LA; Gregory "Greg" Chandler (Nevette) of Zachary, LA; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carlos "Charles" Montoto; parents, Clarence Norman and Lorece Chandler; and sister, Kathy Pesson. A memorial gathering will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 12 pm until memorial service at 2 pm. Inurnment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Please visit www.greenoaksfunerals.com to leave condolences to the family.
