Yolanda Amorsolo Pavlica, lovingly known as "Nene" by her family and friends, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, in Rancho Cucamonga, California, at the age of 67. Born on November 7, 1957, in Manila, Philippines, Yolanda was a radiant presence whose kindness and warmth touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Yolanda lived a life defined by unwavering dedication and heartfelt service-a true reflection of her loving and selfless spirit. For two decades, she devoted herself to caregiving, offering not just support but genuine comfort and companionship to those she looked after. Her boundless compassion and gentle presence illuminated the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and grace.
Family was the heart of Yolanda's world, and her love for them was unwavering. She leaves behind her devoted children: Ivory Ann and her husband Romeo Garcia, Iris Pamela and her partner Curtis Boone, and Irenz Joshua Afable and his partner Justine Craig. Her spirit lives on through her beloved grandchildren-Karl Isaiah, Keene Garcia, and Shaylee Boone-who will forever hold her memory close.
Yolanda is also survived by her dear mother, Purita Amorsolo, and siblings: Ofelia "Felly" Sacks, Cecilio "June" Amorsolo Jr., and Ariston "Boying" Amorsolo, each of whom will deeply feel the absence of her warmth and presence.
Yolanda embraced life with joy and curiosity, finding happiness in the little things that brought her comfort and excitement. She had a keen eye for shopping, always in search of that perfect treasure, and her enthusiasm for Korean dramas was infectious-often sparking lively conversations with loved ones about her latest favorites. She enjoyed the thrill of visiting casinos and relished the simple pleasure of sharing good food. A talented cook, Yolanda poured love into every meal she prepared, nourishing not just the body but the hearts of those around her.
Above all, Yolanda was a devoted matriarch, always placing the needs of her family above her own. Her grandchildren, in particular, were the recipients of her boundless love and care. She nurtured them with the same dedication she showed in every aspect of her life, teaching them the value of kindness and generosity.
Yolanda embodied love, thoughtfulness, and selflessness-qualities that defined her essence and shone through in every moment she shared with others. Her natural inclination to prioritize the needs of those around her made her a beloved presence in her community and an irreplaceable source of strength and warmth to her family and friends.
As we honor Yolanda's memory, we carry with us the warmth of her presence, the steadfast support she offered, and the joy of her laughter. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, continuing to guide and inspire. Though Yolanda Amorsolo Pavlica will be deeply missed, the love she gave and the wisdom she shared will remain with us always.
