Dr. Yong Suk Choi was a devoted husband and father, and an esteemed professor. Born on May 8, 1962, in Seoul, Korea, he immigrated to the United States in 1990, to pursue higher education, earning a Master of Business Administration from Ohio State University and a doctoral degree from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. In 2002, he joined California State University, Bakersfield, as a Professor of Management. Over the span of 22 years, he touched the lives of many students and colleagues and became a respected academic in his field.

He is survived by his loving wife, Seunghee, and his two cherished children, daughter Hannah and son Jason. His untimely departure due to a sudden illness has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and colleagues who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Dr. Choi's life will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM at East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park. We invite all who knew and loved him to join us in remembering the remarkable person he was.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made towards funeral services. For information about the memorial fund, please visit at https://everloved.com/life-of/yong-choi/.   Your generosity during this difficult time is deeply appreciated.
