Yu Ying Su

YU YING SU passed away at 2:30 AM on Monday, October 4 in San Jose, California. She was 87 years young. She will be greatly missed. In 1923, Yu Ying Su, daughter of Lin Da-De and Chou Yi-Li, was born in Tengxian, Guangxi, China. She had four brothers: Lin East, Lin South, Lin West, and Lin North. In 1949 she went to Taiwan with her loving husband, Su Ju-Chuan, and their children. After he passed away in 1985, she moved to Los Angeles to live with her son. Yu Ying Su was a very artistic and bubbly person who enjoyed cooking, planting vegetables, and knitting clothes. Every day she lived a life that was an inspiration to her family. There were two most important things in her life: family and religion. She led a long and full life as a loving wife, a caring mother, a generous grandmother, a patient great-grandmother, and a devout Buddhist. Yu Ying Su is survived by her four children: Joy Su-Kuo, Janet Su, David Su, and Christina Ma; her five grandchildren: Jeanne Moore, Susanna Su, Christina Su, Patricia Beckman, Sharon Ma, Deanna Su, Michael Su, and Andy Su; and her four great-grandchildren: Alexander Moore, Adrian Moore, Roselind Gonzales, and Ethan Gonzales. Her family requests that floral arrangements may be sent to the funeral home in lieu of donations.
