It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Brigitte C. Bearden on September 26, 2025. A most creative, strong, independent free-spirit, she is now with the angels.

Brigitte is survived by herthree daughters Cathy, Janeil, and Kim; grandchildren Melissa, Emily, and Samantha; and great-grandchildren Trenton and Deegan. She was preceded in death by her son, Greg.

A lover of all things outdoors, Brigitte found joy in nature, in particular the mountains of the Sierra Nevada. She was never happier than to be exploring the foothills of central California. Often driving her big Chevrolet truck, it would be a typical day to see her setting off with one of her dogs Yogi, Little Bear or Mopsey. She was an integral member of her small neighborhood of loggers and wood-cutters. She loved the camaraderie and sharing in the rough job of locating, splitting, and stacking firewood!

Even more than nature though, Brigitte adored her two great grandboys, Trenton and Deegan. They brought her unparalleled joy. She felt they were meant for her, to remind her of the sweetness of childhood and the enthusiasm found in all things new.

Brigitte was also a passionate artist. From her candles, macrame and paper mache Santa figures of the 70's and 80's, to the more recent gourd creatures, face masks, and dolls. She was always tinkering on many projects, thinking of ways to create something new. She thoroughly loved to share the end result - many of her friends, acquaintances and doctors have a sample of her creation on their desks and mantles. She will be remembered with affection and love.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Humane Society of Tuolumne County.
