Yulin Cheng Obituary

Mr. Yulin Cheng passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, June 28, 2025, at the Troy Hills Center in Parsippany, New Jersey, surrounded by his loving family. He was 89.
Born on April 14, 1936, in Taixing China, Mr. Cheng immigrated to the United States in 1996 and lived in Long Island, Atlanta, and Parsippany. He had been a resident of Parsippany since 2008.
Mr. Cheng earned his Bachelor's degree in Physics from Fudan University in Shanghai China. He worked as a scientist and lab technician at a research institute in Shanghai for thirty years before retiring in 1996.
In retirement, he devoted himself to caring for his many grandchildren, always with love and joy. He will be remembered for his laughter and playful spirit.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Junying Lin ; three sons: Xiaodong Cheng of Houston, TX, Xiaofang Cheng of Shanghai, China, and Xiaoyu Cheng of Livingston, NJ; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Yunan Cheng
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at S.J. Priola Parsippany Funeral Service, 60 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha, NJ. Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY.
