Yumi McClain Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yumi Kim McClain. At the age of 79, she peacefully passed away at Maury Regional Medical Center on January 22, 2025.
Yumi was born on November 14, 1945 in Seoul, South Korea. After marrying her husband James McClain in Florida, she moved to Pulaski, TN where she spent most of her adult life. Yumi was a dedicated and loving mother, known for her caring and kind nature. She had a passion for sewing, working on crossword puzzles, and tending to her beloved plants. Yumi is preceded in death by her sister Tae Bates and leaves behind her daughter Nina McClain (Weaver), niece Diann Bates (Talley), nephew Herbert Bates, and three grandchildren Alainah, Austin, and Ashton. She will be dearly missed by her countless friends who were touched by her warmth and generosity.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, February 2nd at 2pm, with visitation from 1pm-2pm. Yumi will always be remembered with love and fondness by all who knew her.
Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
