Yves Pierre Paquet, a cherished husband, father, and respected businessman, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, in Geneva, Ohio. Born on July 5, 1941, in St. Georges, Quebec, Canada, to a family of six brothers and three sisters, Yves's journey was one marked by determination, hard work, and a deep love for his family.
Yves's story is a testament to the American Dream. Arriving on his 18th birthday, he left his hometown with a mere $65 in his pocket for the United States. His first job, a grueling task of clearing paths for new power lines, showcased his tenacity and willingness to embrace hard work from the very start.
In the 1970s, Yves, alongside his brother Laurier, ventured into entrepreneurship and established a successful John Deere Dealership on Route 20 in Perry. His business acumen shone through as he navigated the complexities of the industry, earning the respect and admiration of his peers. Later in life, Yves transitioned into the world of real estate, where his unique ability to process value, made him successful once again.
Those who knew Yves will remember him for his sharp wit and generous nature. He was a man who loved to share a laugh, whether it was over a cup of Senior Coffee (two creams) at McDonald's or during a family gathering. His sense of humor was infectious, and his laughter will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Yves's generosity extended beyond his immediate circle. He often helped those in need, often doing so quietly and without expectation of recognition. His kind and generous heart was as much a part of his legacy as his professional achievements.
Passionate about life, Yves poured his energy into everything he did. His love for his family was evident in the way he spoke of his beloved wife, Gaetane, and his pride in his sons, Claude (Laura) Paquet, Martin Paquet along with his precious granddaugter, Sarah. Yves's role as a family man was paramount, and he cherished every moment
spent with his loved ones.
As we bid farewell to Yves Pierre Paquet, we celebrate a life lived with humor, generosity, and passion. His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him, and his legacy will live on through the lives of his family and the community he helped build. Yves's journey may have ended, but the stories of his kindness, laughter, and love will be recounted for generations to come. A private family service will take place at this time and services will be announced in Yves hometown of St. Georges later this summer. Online Obituary and guestbook at www.behmfuneral.com

Gaetane, Claude, and Martin:
I was so very sorry to hear about Yve´s passing. He was a great man, and he will be missed by many. We shared some good times didn´t we? I´ll remember his smile, his sense of humor, and his love of family.
I´m sorry we haven´t seen each other in so long. It breaks my heart. It makes it harder. Love, Patty and John Puline
