Yvonne Clara Bowman

Yvonne "Vonnie" Clara (Lange) Bowman, age 83, was called to her eternal home on Friday, December 26, 2025 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Vonnie was born November 12, 1942 in Carroll, IA, to Raymond and Lucille (Wetzstein) Lange. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. Vonnie grew up on the family farm in Odebolt, IA, attending country school until the third grade. She graduated from Odebolt Arthur Community School in 1960, where she played basketball, the clarinet and performed as a majorette.
In search of warmer weather, Vonnie moved to Arkansas, where she met her husband, Robert Bowman. They were married in 1975, and moved to Fountain Hills, Arizona in 1981. Fountain Hills is the place they would call home for the rest of their lives.
Vonnie enjoyed watching sports, cheering extra loudly for every Arizona team and the Arkansas Razorbacks. She loved to travel to warm climates, and cherished the vacations she took with her family. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fountain Hills, where friends could find her in the same seat each Sunday.
Vonnie led a simple and content life where faith, family and friends were her greatest treasures. Although Vonnie did not have children of her own, she loved her special role as aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. She left a loving and lasting legacy that will be dearly missed.
Vonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bowman, and parents Raymond and Lucille Lange. She is survived by her sisters Marilyn (Gary) Scott of Omaha, NE, Judy (Steve) Rozek of Fort Dodge, IA, and Kathy McCullough of Omaha, NE, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
There will be a Committal Service at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona on March 20, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Vonnie's memory may be sent to the Fountain Hills Trinity Lutheran Church's Endowment Foundation.
