Yvonne Deloach, age 88, of Stilson, GA. Went home to be with her Lord peacefully at home, December 5, 2025.
Yvonne was the daughter of the late Hugh Bennett and the late Ada Bennett.
She graduated from Brooklet High School in 1956. She worked at the Savannah Coca Cola on Bay Street. Became a devoted wife to James D. Deloach (Jimmy) throughout their 42 years of marriage.
Worked 30 years running the Cafeteria at Savannah Christian Preparatory School.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
A faithful member of Lane Primitive Baptist Church, Yvonne served whenever she was needed.
Yvonne, was known for her radiant spirit that reflected the love and the warmth she brought wherever she was. She loved cooking, baking, especially her Pea Picking cake, chocolate covered pecans and her Pineapple sandwiches. She was an avid Jelly Maker that we all loved to get, and loved gardening, especially her Beautiful flowers!
She cherished time with her family and welcomed friends and relatives. She also enjoyed traveling to Florida to visit her Grand daughter and Great Grandkids, which for everyone she was not just grandma she was Mema!
She will be remembered for her strong faith and as an encourager. She was a kind, generous, gentle, joyful, hospitable woman who was always ready to help. Many knew her as a caring listener and an informal phone counselor.
She is survived by her children, Mark & wife, Erika, Bert & wife Linda and Daughter Amy Deloach.
She is also survived by her two grandchildren - Rebeca and Zack, her four great-grandchildren, and her brother Stuart Bennett.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 siblings: Steve, Norwood, Hilda and Ann.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lanes Primitive Baptist Church in Brooklet, GA.
Visitation will be held at Lanes Primitive Baptist Church in Stilson, Georgia from 9-10 AM on Monday, December 8th. Funeral service will be in the sanctuary and will be officiated by Brother Dean Robins.
Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
