Yvonne Lemoine Kiech passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the age of 69 in Farmington, New Mexico. She was the cherished wife and companion of 34 years to Peter Kiech. Loving sister of Suzanne Mays (Donald), Monique Bonner (Steve), Johnette Chauffe (Mark). She was preceded in death by her parents John & Irma Lemoine, and her brother Stevens Lemoine Sr. She is survived and fondly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Yvonne was born in New Orleans, LA, and graduated from P.G.T. Beauregard High School in 1974. She went on to enjoy a fulfilling career as an Office Manager with Benchmark Computers in Metairie.
Yvonne truly embraced the beauty of everyday life. She found joy in simple pleasures - especially in caring for her beloved houseplants and the lively array of flowers she tended so lovingly in clay pots throughout her front courtyard. Her love for those plants was only surpassed by her special bond with her favorite pet, a Shih Tzu/Maltese/Poodle mix named Theodore Jackson Kiech, affectionately known as Teddy, whom she spoiled and adored.
Yvonne had a deep appreciation for family history, often collecting old family photographs and treasuring the memories they held. She never forgot a birthday or graduation and consistently showed her love through thoughtful gestures and her caring spirit.
She will be remembered most for her loyalty and dedication to her family, her warmth and kindness, and the laughter she brought into the lives of those around her. Yvonne was a wonderful example of what it means to love and care for others.
Rest in peace, dear Yvonne. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered for your good nature and generous heart. This world was a better place with you in it.
