Yvonne King

Yvonne King age 81, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 26, 2025 at her residence surrounded by family. Yvonne was born July 3, 1943, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Frank and Ethel Smith. She was a homemaker; and a member of First Baptist Church, Atlanta where she taught the Lydia Sunday school class and was a consummate prayer warrior. Yvonne enjoyed cooking for her family and was a protector of all wildlife.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Ware and by her parents.
Yvonne is survived by her husband of almost 62 years, Larry King of Atlanta, Texas; children, David M. King and wife Karen of Atlanta, Texas, Greg King and wife Latrell of Texarkana, Texas, Elizabeth Bartlett and husband Michael of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; sister, Frankie Payne and husband Bill of Overland Park, Kansas; grandchildren, Kevin King, Tony King, Savannah Tankersley, Christa Stuckey, Hunter King, Ryan Soule, Ivey Swint, Rivers Swint; great-grandchildren, Adam King, Aurora King, Willow Jean King and two more on the way; she is also survived by a number of other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 30, 2025 in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Bro. Wes Mill officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.
Interment will be in Laws Chapel Cemetery.
