In honor of a remarkable life lived with immense love and generosity, we remember Yvonne, affectionately known as Brownie, who was born on the 17th of December, 1960, in Jackson, Mississippi, USA. Yvonne departed on the 9th of December, 2024, just shy of her 64th birthday, leaving behind a rich tapestry of memories.
Known for the warmth that radiated from her lively spirit, Yvonne was a beacon of kindness and thoughtfulness. Yvonne's love was indeed a beautiful thing, felt deeply by those lucky enough to know her.
Yvonne is survived by her children, Jerry Griffin, Jadrion Griffin, Jeremy Griffin, Jershawn Lottie, and Justice Henderson. Her father, R.D Lottie (Cynthia) Jr. and her siblings, Yolanda Mckoy, Sheila Bonds, Eric Bonds, Decarlos Byrd, Julian Byrd, Trey Lottie, Tj Hamilton, Carla Lottie, and Kimberly Reynolds. She is preceded in death by her mother, Carol Bonds, and her sister, Kia Byrd.
Yvonne dedicated her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the medical field, a testament to her innate nurturing nature. Her selfless spirit touched countless lives. Yvonne's greatest joy, however, was her family, which she cherished beyond measure. Her family was her world; she was the loving matriarch to 25 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and other family members as well. A testament to the legacy of love she leaves behind.
We invite all who knew and loved Yvonne to join us in honoring her beautiful life.
As we gather to celebrate her, may we remember the words of Mahatma Gandhi, "Where there is love there is life." Yvonne's love endures in our hearts, and through our memories, her spirit lives on. We encourage friends and family to share their memories and upload photos of Yvonne on her memorial page. Your stories and pictures will help us all remember the wonderful, loving, and generous woman that she was.
