Zachary Jerome Allen, age 29, of Princeton, NC, passed away on March 16, 2024. Zachary is survived by his parents, Wanda and Jerry Allen of Smithfield, his sister Taylor Allen Bailey and her husband Tyler of Smithfield, and his beloved cat, Mega.
Zach will always be remembered as a strong, humble, generous, kind, and funny son, brother, cat dad, and friend.
His primary passion in life was making other people happy and we are so proud of the man he was and how many people he touched through his sense of humor and acts of kindness and compassion. Zach's wit and humor; his love for comfort food, the mountains, fishing (saltwater, freshwater, and the magnet variety), international travel, soccer, and his cat; his kind spirit and compassion for others will be missed beyond measure.
The family asks for your prayers as they grieve and process the magnitude of this loss in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
A visitation will be held at Parrish Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 19th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 20th at 3:00 pm in the Price Cemetery in Selma. Following the service, please join family and friends for a celebration of Zach's life, enjoying his favorite foods and music at the home of Wanda and Jerry.
In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to make a donation to the SECU House at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill in Zach's name or consider becoming a regular blood donor. The family would like to invite friends and family to share a fond memory, special story, or just say a few words at the graveside service.
