Zachary Blackburn Obituary
Zachary Blackburn, age 21, a resident of Folsom, Ridley Twp., passed away suddenly on November 25, 2023. He graduated from Penncrest High School in 2020. Most recently Zachary worked part time at Charlie's Hamburgers in Folsom, PA. In addition to his academic and professional pursuits, Zachary had a profound love for classic cars, and loved admiring their designs. He enjoyed fishing, finding solace by the water, and was known for his adventurous spirit as a scuba diver. Zachary practiced mindfulness, finding balance and peace in the present moment. He also had a fondness for classical music and was an avid old movie buff.
Zachary was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Episcopal Church and was an active member and participated in their Sunday School and Youth Group. Through St. John's youth group, he traveled to Guatemala on several mission trips.
He is preceded in death by his uncle John Slowik (2021)
Survivors: his loving parents: Burt and Cathy (Slowik) Blackburn, his siblings: Matthew (Nerlie), BJ (Kristen), Timothy (Sarah), and Kelsey Blackburn (Fiancé Mike), his three nieces: Emma, Londyn, and Amelia Blackburn, his nephews: Aiden Blackburn and Miles Nenstiel, his loving aunts and uncles: Joe Slowik, Andrew Slowik, Albert Slowik, Marty Slowik, Michael Slowik and Mary Slowik.
Visitation: Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 from 9:15am - 10:45am at St. John's Episcopal Church, Batton Hall, 576 Concord Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342. Funeral Service: Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 at 11:00am at St. John's Episcopal Church. Burial: St. John's Episcopal Church Cemetery, Glen Mills, PA 19342.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, which will be contributed to a scholarship fund in Zachary's name. Please indicate Zachary Fund on your donation.
