Zachary David Borgemenke, age 32, passed away at his residence on October 30, 2024 from complications related to his Type 1 Diabetes. He was born to David and Karen (Beuerlein) Borgemenke on February 14, 1992 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Zach graduated from Mason High School, where he was the football manager his senior year, Class of 2010. He deeply enjoyed the fellowship and friendships he received through St. Maximilian Kolbe’s Youth Group. Zach obtained his undergraduate degree in sports management from the College of Mount St. Joseph in 2014. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved watching the Steelers win. Zach was an enthusiastic support to numerous high school sports programs, including Mason, St. Xavier, and Little Miami, where he announced games, recorded film, and kept statistics. For years, Zach generously volunteered his time as a camp counselor at Camp Joy in Clarksville, Ohio, during their annual Diabetes Camp. Zach enjoyed cheering on his siblings in their athletic and personal pursuits. He was always up for an impromptu game of backyard baseball. Zach had an unmatched love for animals, especially his dog Stella. Zach is survived by his loving and devoted parents David and Karen; siblings Ryan (Anna) Borgemenke, Emily (Matt) Abele, Brandon (fiancé Betsy Daly) Borgemenke, Samuel (fiancé Kathleen Fink) Borgemenke, Noah Borgemenke (fiancé Emma Golembieski), Anna Borgemenke, Nicholas Borgemenke, Max Borgemenke; paternal grandparents Earl and Emma (Cathy) Borgemenke, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Nathan Borgemenke, maternal grandparents Louis and Barbara Beuerlein, and his nephew Peter Abele. A visitation will take place at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 5720 Hamilton Mason Road, Liberty Township, OH 45011 on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 10:00am-11:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00am. Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of gifts, donations can be made to either Camp Joy or Mason High School Athletics.
