Zachary Norman Cook

Zachary Norman Cook, of Moore, Oklahoma passed from this life on January 7, 2025, at the age of 32. He was born on October 7, 1992, in Moore, Oklahoma, to Donald Jay & Robin Dale (Hane) Cook. He was also lovingly known as "Cookie". Zachary proudly served his country in the United States Army. During his 14 years of service, he achieved the rank of staff sergeant and served in 2 overseas deployments. Zachary was known for his big heart and giving nature never hesitating to give someone a hug or help in any way possible. Zachary was the type of person to drop everything he was doing and run to those he saw were in need.
Zachary was very adventurous and enjoyed many outdoor sports, including hiking, kayaking, snowboarding, hunting, mountain biking, and shooting. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his best friend and playing Magic the gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, and Video Games. He also loved reading books and watching Anime.
He was a wonderful man and touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Zachary leaves to cherish his memory, his father, Donald Cook; his girlfriend, Shelby Clark; children, Kiri, Atticus, and Ace Clark; 2 brothers, Jake Cook and Caleb Cook; nephew, Grasen Cook; aunts/uncles, Judi & Ron Hawes, Charles & Teresa Cook, Tandy Cook, Candy Carroll, and Nancy Brown; cousins, Brittney Gerfen, Wayne Hill, and William Hill; and best friends, Ricky Belongie & wife, Stephanie, and Nicole, Sophie, Chase, and Michael Belongie. He is preceded in death by his mother, Robin Cook; Grandmother, Reba Cook; Uncles, Bruce Cook and Alyn Hill; and cousin, Shane Hawes.
Visitation for Zachary will be held from 2-8pm, Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 120 South Broadway, in Moore, Oklahoma. Services to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Wesley United Methodist Church, located at 1401 NW 25th Street, in Oklahoma City. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park, 2301 E. Indian Hills Road, in Norman, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.
