Zachary Alexander Garrett

Zachary Alexander Garrett, 21, of Poplarville, MS, passed away on Saturday, June 08, 2024, in Poplarville. Zachary was born on April 18, 2003, in Hattiesburg, MS to his mom, Amy Michelle Garrett. Zachary grew up in Poplarville where he was taught from a young age how to hunt and fish. Zach's love of fishing and being on the water was something he was genuinely passionate about. Zach worked as deck-hand on a tug boat, a job that he loved, because he was right where he loved to be, on the water. He was full of life and "bouncing off the walls" energy. When Zach wasn't working or fishing, he loved gaming. He even built his own gaming computer, valued at over five thousand dollars. He was a macgyver, always tinkering, taking things apart and putting them back together. Zach was always there to build you up and offer all the moral support you needed. He loved his family and they loved him, as he will be immensely missed by all. Zach is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Diane Pearson; and his paternal grandmother Melissa Shaw. Left to cherish his memory, his loving parents William and Amy Garrett of Poplarville; two brothers Austin (Jessica Earl) Clark of Sumrall, MS, and William (Lisa) Garrett Jr. of Gulfport, MS; maternal grandfather, Ricky (Melinda) Adcock of Grandberry, TX; paternal grandfather Sterling Lee (Patricia) Garrett, Jr. of Gulfport, MS.; two nieces, Riley Clark and Louise Garrett. Zachary leaves a legacy of numerous extended family and friends who loved him very much. Services for Zach will be private.
