Zack Kirkpatrick left us suddenly on Saturday, February 8, 2025, due to an unexpected medical event. A graduate of College of Charleston, Zack caddied at the River Course and Cassique golf courses for over 20 years and had many regulars who loved him. Zack had a great sense of humor – honed from being a lifelong fan of Adam Sandler as well as South Park, Bob's Burgers, The Simpsons, and Workaholics..really all comedies! His smile lit up a room. He was a fan of all music genres from Hip-Hop to Reggae. A passionate collector of baseball and basketball cards, he knew the stats for athletes in ALL sports. He loved kids, animals, Clemson football, and soccer. Zack was an awesome son, brother, and husband..and a doting over-the-top dad to Joey. He loved Joey dance parties and trampoline "boya boyas". Whether rescuing his brother Michael from the Citadel to celebrate a 21st birthday or rescuing his sister Jessica from an uncomfortable situation in Jamaica.he was a great big brother.
Zack was the son of Jean and Pat Blair and Bill and Jalane Kirkpatrick. The loves of his life were his wife Acadia Gagne and daughter Joey. Others who loved and will miss him greatly are his siblings and nephew – Jessica Kirkpatrick, Michael and Ashton Kirkpatrick and Keaton; Acadia's parents – Denise Parks and Michael Gagne and his wife Safa; Acadia's sister, brother-in-law, and nephews – Somerset and Neil Dickinson, Jake and Luca. Jake summed up how we all feel about Zack – "When a star dies the light remains (Sonic 3)".
A service to remember Zack will be held in the Chapel at Seacoast Church, 750 Long Point Rd., Mount Pleasant, SC on Thursday, February 13 at 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in late March.
In lieu of flowers there is a donation to support Acadia and Joey. https://gofund.me/d34af534
