JACKSONVILLE - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zachary Taylor McDowell of Jacksonville, North Carolina, born in Gaithersburg, Maryland, who passed away on December 5, 2024, at the age of 25. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville, NC. A Celebration of Zachary's life will be at his mothers house after the service. Possibly bring a chair and a Side dish is appreciated. No specific attire is required. Zachary would request you be yourself.
If you knew Zach you knew his hands were always busy tattooing, repairing, building & fixing things. There wasn't much he couldn't do, He was a loving person to everyone he met, he could light up the whole room with his smile & make anybody laugh. He loved his family and kids more than anything!
He is survived by: Companion and loving partner, Skylar C Scott, daughter, Elise T Scott; son, Anthony Parker-McDowell; his maternal grandmother, Mary Josephine McDowell, mother, Audrey Kate McDowell-Mercer, paternal grandmother, Josie Mercer-Kerns, dad, Samuel A Mercer Jr., father, Keith Kesecker; siblings, Andrea R McDowell, Summer Kesecker, and Damara K McDowell; aunt, Ann Kristine McDowell; nieces and nephews, Shawn A McDowell, Aria R Lalla, and Louis Lalla; and cousin, Trevor C Baratier. Along with many uncles, aunts and cousins.
