Zackary “Zack” Paul Daugherty, 29, of Kingsport, was called Home by the Lord after a brief battle with autoimmune hepatitis. Born and raised in Kingsport, TN, he was a 2014 graduate of Sullivan South High School. He also attended Northeast State where he received an associate’s degree in welding. Zack loved to spend time outdoors. He loved to kayak and fish, and to hike and play disc golf at Warriors Path. Zack loved playing video games and putting together Gundam models. He was always listening to heavy metal. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and kids.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Patsy and Paul Daugherty, George “Jug” Riner, Nanette Qualls and Don Kantsos; aunts and uncles, Sherry Baumgardner, David Daugherty, Cecil Hawkins and Katherine Hawkins; cousin, Amanda Daugherty; and his dog, Kylo Daugherty.
Zack is survived by the love of his life and fiancée, Kendra Lawrence; children, Cooper Frost, Rosalyn Frost and Fox Daugherty; parents, Sidney and Tammy Daugherty; aunts and uncles, Teresa Bloomer, Tim Riner and Rhonda Starns; sister, Jennifer Robinson; grandparent, Loretta Trent (Gerald); nephew, Innacent Robinson; niece, Aysha Robinson; cousins, Amber, Olivia, Jacob, Samantha, Joey, Savannah and Eli; great-uncles, Perry and Bo Hawkins; and special friends, Cal Morelock, Jacob Buchanan and Nathaniel Cumbo.
The family will receive friends from 1-3:00 pm on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor Ronnie Baxter officiating. Burial will follow at Depew’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Sidney Daugherty, Cooper Frost, Ken Lawrence, Jacob Buchanan, Cal Morelock, Jacob King and Nathaniel Cumbo. Honorary pallbearers will be Carter Manis, Perry Hawkins and Bo Hawkins.
